9mm AR: Most 9mm ARs are 1/2x36 thread. We do not provide protection at all within the thread. However, a small percentage of 9mm ARs are chambered for 1/2x28. If you actually have a 9mm AR with a 1/2x28 thread, 1/2x28 pistol thread protectors will not work! They will be very short and the diameter will not match that of the AR cylinder. When filming, twist the material or leave the thread exposed. These guards are intended to be worn when the equipment is not being used for thread protection. We do not recommend shooting the pistol with a thread guard. If you do, you should tighten it after each magazine is fired just like any other restraint device that isn't permanently attached or secured with screws.

O-ring included: Every order will ship with a free, optional O-ring. These thread savers have a very fine thread because if they are too thick/fuzzy they won't fit all barrels. This is a pretty standard as most mounts have thin threads and most barrels have solid threads. But if the barrel has fine threads, or if you think you want a tighter thread guard, use an O-ring.

Note: USA Flag and Muddy Girl are the only two designs with synthetic color bands wrapped in aluminum protection. These are intended to be primarily for "display" as the structure ages over time. All other designs are 100% 7075 aluminum.

So I'm in love with preserving American flag yarn. I quickly ordered one for my Glock 19 P80 build and then told the doorman like a Christmas kid that the mailman should deliver. When it arrived I quickly tore open the package in all its Merica glory. I wanted to throw the gun, but unfortunately there was a problem, the thread guard was missing one important detail, there was no thread. I went to the computer to make sure my order was correct and it was. So I emailed the gun god and waited for a reply. To my surprise, shortly after they emailed me, and I expected to hear from them in a day or so, it was nice to see that they cared. The lady I spoke to asked me to send her some pictures of the thread guard without the thread. She then assured me that they would take care of it the next day as it was hours so I wasn't expecting the call. So the next day I got an email saying they had discussed the issue with the manufacturer and a replacement had been sent. So I waited for a new one, which arrived promptly. I opened a new package and found a note from the factory owner. Not only did he correct my first order, he added an extra thread guard that was in trouble, it was a small gesture but it was good to see that they are taking their customer service and customer needs high on the list. . I love both (so 3 if you count the first one) of my thread protectors and will definitely be ordering from Gun Goddess again.
